Proactive Mechanical Services was started in 2004 in the great state of Texas by U.S. Naval Submarine Veteran Johnny Salinas. Johnny served as a Torpedoman’s Mate as well as a Machinist’s Mate on the USS Jefferson City, where he was responsible for oxygen systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and other mechanical equipment. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance was demanded of him in order to keep the crew safe and the ship quiet and stealthy. These and other life experiences contribute to Proactive’s success. Having come from several generations of migrant agriculture workers, Johnny became the first in his family to graduate from high school, he went on to get his degree in refrigeration and start his own successful business. Johnny brings this personal drive and strong work ethic to Proactive Mechanical Services. His values and commitment are shared throughout the company and delivered to each of our clients.
